Reuters reports that Turkish police arrested nine people with suspected ties to Daesh in the southeastern Turkish city of Gazientep.
Two suspects were captured after a car chase in Gazientep. The remaining seven were found during police raids in the area. All nine are currently in custody.
The suspects are thought to have been planning a suicide bombing attack in Istanbul. Turkey has faced multiple suicide bombings in the past few months.
As Al Bawaba previously reported, on October 10, over 90 people were killed in Ankara by two bombs exploding at a peace rally. Another suicide bombing in Suruc killed 32 youth activists in July.
