A Gulf Air flight from Hong Kong to the Kingdom of Bahrain struck heavy turbulence over the Indian subcontinent and had to be diverted to Abu Dhabi International Airport, where four people were treated with minor injuries, the airline said on Sunday.
Amongst those hurt was a flight attendant that was hospitalized with a broken leg. Gulf Air doctors met three passengers who suffered minor injuries, and early Sunday continued on with their flight to Bahrain with the rest of the passengers and crew, according to the Saudi Press Agency.
The Airbus A340 hit the turbulence as meals were being served, according to passengers and crewmembers. The flight was carrying a total of 280 passengers and crew. (Albawaba.com)
