Tunisian President calls to resume Mideast peace process

Tunisian President Zein al-Abidin Bin Ali has stressed that achieving peace in the Middle East requires Israel’s withdrawal from Syrian Golan and Lebanese Shebaa farms and recognition of the Palestinian legitimate rights of self-determination and establishing an independent state.

 

“The Situation in the Middle East needs resumption of peace process on all tracks to achieve the just and comprehensive peace in the region,” Bin Ali said in an interview published by Russian magazine of Poli-Journal.

 

The Tunisian leader also underlined that effort should be geared for supporting the Iraqi people in order to regain their security, stability, national unity and land.
