Tunisian Minister of Foreign Affairs Habib Ben Yahia, heading a high-ranking delegation, arrived in Tehran Saturday for talks with his Iranian counterpart on bilateral relations, reported the official Iranian news agency, IRNA.
The Tunisian minister, who had been invited to visit Iran by his counterpart, Kamal Kharrazi, will also co-chair the fourth Iran-Tunisia Joint Economic Commission that will begin work Sunday.
In an interview with IRNA, he attached great importance to the gathering. He said that the two countries' relations had improved in all fields.
The fourth commission meeting is to be held in Tehran July 15-16, and will be attended by representatives from the two countries' private and public sectors.
During the meeting, they are to discuss the implementation of agreements reached during last year's visit by the Tunisian prime minister to Tehran. They will also look into ways of promoting the two countries' relations.
The second and third meetings of the commission were held in Tehran and Tunis in 1999 and 2000 respectively – Albawaba.com
