Tunisian envoy says Islam calls for tolerance

Head of the Tunisian delegation to the meetings of the Organization of the Islamic Conference (OIC)'s foreign ministers in Sana'a, Salaheddin Ma'wiah, on Wednesday underscored his country support to developing the Islamic organization.

Ma'wiah, Tunisia's ambassador to Saudi Arabia said Muslim countries should concentrate efforts to get unified rank over the issue of reforming the United Nations and its security council. "Islam calls for tolerance and dialogue with others and rejects extremism," said Ma'wiah, reviewing efforts put by Tunisian government to enlighten its citizens about real principles of Islam that call for tolerance.
