Tunis to host first international Koran-reciting competition

Tunisia is scheduled to host its first international Koran-reciting competition this week, according to officials. 

 

Participants from various countries in North Africa and the Middle East as well as Malaysia are expected to compete for six prizes totaling an amount of 100,000 dinars (70,000 euros), AFP said. 

 

The competition is set to be held in the Ezzitouna mosque in the capital of Tunis between November 26 to 30. (Albawaba.com)
