ALBAWABA - US President Donald Trump announced on Saturday the reverse of a former order by ex-President Joe Biden that halted bomb shipments to Israel.
“We released them. We released them today. And they’ll have them. They paid for them and they’ve been waiting for them for a long time. They’ve been in storage,” the US president said.
Biden had earlier halted the shipment of 2,000-pound bombs to Israel, however, Trump said that he asked the US military to release it. According to The Guardian, Biden placed the delivery on hold amid concern over the impact they could have on the civilian population, particularly in Rafah, during the war in Gaza.
Since the start of the war between Hamas and Israel, Washington under the Biden-Harris administration sent billions worth of assistance to Israel.
Trump stated earlier on Saturday via Truth Social that a lot of weapons Israel ordered they hadn't received yet.
He wrote: “A lot of things that were ordered and paid for by Israel, but have not been sent by Biden, are now on their way!”
