ALBAWABA — Following a tight race against his rival Harris, Donald Trump won the elections and became the 47th president of the United States of America.

Trump secured most of the swing states, winning battleground in at-stake states like Pennsylvania and Georgia. Addressing his supporters at his campaign headquarters in Florida, Trump praised his supporters and thanked them for "having trust" in his leadership.

He also added that he secured a historic win against his rival Kamala Harris. Earlier, Trump claimed that he was up against an "evil party", referring to the Democrats.

VP elect JD Vance thanked Trump for allowing him to join his campaign. Talking to a crowd of supporters early Wednesday in West Palm Beach, Vance thanked Trump for the "trust that you placed in me".

"I think that we just witnessed the greatest political comeback in the history of the United States of America," Vance said, though several states are still counting votes.

He promised that he and Trump would now "lead the greatest economic comeback".
