ALBAWABA - U.S. Secretary of State Marco Rubio revealed Tuesday that President Donald Trump is expected to hold a meeting with Ukraine's President Volodymyr Zelensky, AFP reported.

Rubio said from Israel that the president could meet Zelensky with the aim of reaching a peace deal between Kyiv and Moscow and ending the ongoing war that started in 2022.

The Secretary of State said that the peace deal will also involve Russian President Vladimir Putin.

Trump has had "multiple calls with Putin, multiple meetings with Zelensky, including probably next week again in New York", as leaders scheduled to meet for the UN General Assembly, Rubio told the press.
