Tripp Lite unveils new SmartRack Enclosure in the Middle East
Wall-mount enclosure provides convenient, space-saving design for smaller rackmount applications
Tripp Lite, a world leading manufacturer of power protection and connectivity equipment, has unveiled its latest SmartRack Enclosure - the 'SRW12US' - in the Middle East. With a 12U rack space capacity that can store critical rackmount equipment of up to 19 inches, the new wall-mount enclosure’s convenient, space-saving design is ideal for smaller rackmount applications, thereby allowing convenient, ‘out-of-the-way’ wall mounting for remote locations or any facility that does not require full-sized rack enclosures.
Measuring 25 x 23.63 x 21.6 (HWD) inches and weighing 31.5 kilograms, the 'SRW12US' can support up to 140 lbs. of equipment and allows the cabinet to swing away from the wall through a sturdy hinge between the cabinet and the wall-mount bracket for easy access to equipment and cabling. Among its other practical features is a vented door and side panels to allow airflow exceeding server manufacturer requirements; an optional caster kit that allows the unit to turn into a mobile, space-saving floor-unit; adjustable rack rails with square mounting holes; and convenient cut-outs for cable routing.
“With organisations in the region trying to cope with the challenges posed by limited floor space, we have designed our latest SmartRack Enclosure by combining the benefits of our larger rack system with the advantages of a compact unit to provide an ideal rackmounting solution that is perfect for their requirements,” said Vipin Sharma, Vice President, EEMEA and India Sales. “Through this new product, smaller IT environments, including remote network locations, offices and even classrooms can now benefit from an integrated wall-mounting solution that provides easy equipment access and promotes more efficient cable management.”
As a pioneer in the innovation of power protection and connectivity equipment, Tripp Lite maintains the highest level of ready-to-ship inventory in the industry, with more than 1,000 different products, including UPS systems, surge suppressors, inverters, KVM switches, cables and connectivity products, power strips and PDUs, notebook accessories, rack systems, network management accessories and more. Among its flagship products include the world's first UPS system designed specifically for personal computers, and the world's most trusted premium surge suppressor - the Isobar - with more than 15 million units currently being used today.
“We understand that some companies have no real need for bigger full-sized rack systems, and based on this, we have designed this new sensible rackmount solution to help customers who are limited by a lack of space. In this economic downturn, it is one of our main aims to help companies hurdle not only space, but cost constraints as well by providing them with only the solutions and services they need to remain competitive,” concluded Sharma.
