The trial of a Yemeni man accused of killing three people when he threw a grenade into a mosque has opened in Omran, according to Yemen's SABA news agency Wednesday.
Ali Maresh al-Akram, aged 23, described as "mentally unstable," threw two grenades into the mosque in Khamer Hoth, in the province of Omran, some 80 kilometers north of the capital Sanaa, but only one exploded, a source said. He was arrested after the August 22 attack.
The trial opened Tuesday and is expected to resume on Saturday. (Albawaba.com)
