Travelport GDS extends its relationship with Hogg Robinson Group
New agreement signed to provide GDS services on a global basis

Travelport GDS, one of the world’s leading providers of global distribution systems (GDS), has today announced details of a new, long-term, global agreement between its Galileo GDS and Hogg Robinson Group (HRG).  The new agreement will, for the first time, extend Galileo’s current international GDS contract with HRG to include the USA – the world’s largest GDS region in terms of segment volume.

Galileo has been working with HRG for a number of years across multiple regions and the two businesses are currently developing a number of new market initiatives including the launch of HRG’s Universal Super Platform – its new point of sale desktop developed for the Queensland Government, Australia.

“We already have a strong and successful track record of working closely with HRG across the EMEA (Europe, Middle East and Africa) and Asia Pacific regions.  Specifically, our GDS leadership in the fast-growing Asia Pacific region has particularly helped HRG to grow its business in Singapore, Hong Kong and Australia.  We’re delighted HRG has now chosen us as its global GDS partner,” says Sandra McLeod, Vice President, Global Accounts and Strategic Corporate Development, Travelport GDS. ”It very much cements the strong relationship we have developed with this important customer over the years.”

“Galileo has been a long-standing partner and we’re confident that this new agreement will enable us to further grow our business as it provides our sales teams with an excellent global GDS offering,” says Bill Brindle, Business Technology and Distribution Director, HRG.
