Tourism in Israel was down by about a third in November as violent clashes continued between Palestinians and Israeli troops, the Central Statistics Bureau said Sunday.
Only 43 percent of Israeli hotel rooms were occupied in November compared with an average 66 percent in the first nine months of the year, before violence broke out September 28, the office said.
But a total of 2,451,000 people visited Israel between January and October, making the millennium year one of Israel's most lucrative overall -- JERUSALEM (AFP)
