Toshiba bags award at the Middle East Retail Academy 2010 Awards

 Toshiba Computer Systems Division, through its Channel Manager, Rachielle Araga, recently received an award at the Middle East Retail Academy (MERA) 2010 Awards. Held in conjunction with Digital Consumer Channel (DCC) Middle East and Africa (MEA) event, MERA Awards recognises the professionalism and outstanding achievement of individuals working in the IT and consumer electronics retail channel, in both retailer and vendor level. Retail channel partners have named Araga as 'Channel Manager of the Year - Rest of Gulf' through an extensive nomination and voting process.

Araga netted the award for her exemplary performance and relationship with Toshiba’s key retail channel in the region, especially for the countries of UAE and Qatar. "Our retail channel partners contribute a great deal to Toshiba’s success in the Middle East region. DCC MEA is an excellent avenue to strengthen our partnership with the people driving Toshiba’s growth and success," says Rachielle Araga, Channel Manager for UAE and Qatar, Computer Systems Division, Toshiba Gulf.

In the first quarter of the year, Toshiba won the ‘Systems and Hardware Vendor of the Year’ award at the third annual Channel Middle East Awards. Toshiba has engaged in a number of activities that covered channel management, incentive and rebates, trainings, introduction of new product portfolio and services, consumer promotions, brand and marketing activities which provided a solid platform to demonstrate Toshiba’s commitment in driving channel growth.
