Better Life, the Easa Saleh Al Gurg Group’s specialist home appliance division, has opened its 10th retail store in the UAE. The new outlet is located inside Sharjah’s newest shopping mall, Safeer Mall.
Located on ground floor, the store has an open plan design. It carries the entire Better Life product range, which features top international brand names like Siemens, Electrolux, Fisher & Paykel, Zanussi, Admiral and Ufesa.
Better Life estimated that more than 2.9 million home appliance units were consumed in the UAE in 2005. This figure is set to increase to 3.1 million units this year, demonstrating steady growth in the sector, according to Ajai Dayal, General Manager, Retail and Marketing, Easa Saleh Al Gurg Group.
“As the UAE continues to develop with new residential and commercial areas being established, people are demanding more choice and convenience. Located on the Dubai-Sharjah highway, which sees more than 500,000 cars each day, Safeer Mall has excellent access to a large number of potential shoppers,” added Dayal.
“Sharjah is growing rapidly as a destination, and so it made sense to expand our retail footprint to include the emirate.”
The Easa Saleh Al Gurg Group aims to grow the Better Life brand in the UAE and the Gulf. Last year, Better Life launched its flagship outlet in Dubai’s Mall of the Emirates, and new stores will open in 2006 in Oman and Qatar.
Better Life is the only specialist home appliance chain in the UAE, with a growing portfolio of world class brands under its wing such as Electrolux, Terim, Admiral, Wolf, Starmix, Vestfrost and Spanish home appliance brand Ufesa.
The store also sells a comprehensive range of Siemens, Fisher & Paykel, Zanussi built-in appliances and Alno kitchens.
