Anthony and Sue Hughes from the UK have been coming to Dubai for the past fourteen years and have stayed at The Jumeirah Beach Hotel every year since the hotel opened in 1997. This year; their visit marks a very special occasion involving celebrations from three generations within the Hughes family.
Anthony Hughes and his daughter Clair share key birthdays and are celebrating their 60th and 30th birthdays respectively this year. Clair wanted to celebrate her birthday in Dubai and that is where the planning started. The family soon realised that it was their Grandmother Olive Langford’s 90th birthday this year whilst Mr. & Mrs. Langford were also celebrating their 60th wedding anniversary! This meant that the Hughes Family had four very good reasons, involving three generations of the family, to celebrate in style and decided to host the celebrations in Dubai at their favourite hotel, The Jumeirah Beach Hotel.
Mr. Robert Kunkler, General Manager of The Jumeirah Beach Hotel and Mr. Gerald Lawless, CEO for Jumeirah International were part of the celebrations last Thursday and presented the family with a signed Patrick Litchfield print of the hotel as a lifelong memento of this very special family celebration.
Mr. Hughes commented: “We have been coming to Dubai for the past 14 years and have stayed at The Jumeirah Beach Hotel ever since it opened. We love the culture, the weather and the friendly people and have made some great friends here over the years”. He added: “Our trip this year has just exceeded our expectations and it is just like coming home to friends”. The family also said that they find their experience at The Jumeirah Beach Hotel captivating and that they are always wowed, no matter how often they come.
