Several thousand more migrants and refugees are expected to reach Munich today after 8,000 made it to the Bavarian capital on Saturday.
Those that arrived after a long journey from Hungary were fed and given medical checks and fresh clothing at reception centres, before being put in temporary accommodation.
Many arrived to cheering crowds at the city's main station, after the chaos and confusion endured in nearby Hungary made international headlines.
