A 10-year-old Palestinian boy was lightly injured after a Jewish settler attacked him near the Ibrahimi Mosque in Hebron Tuesday, locals said.
Youssef Qfeisheh, 10, was injured in his hand and taken to a local hospital for treatment, where he received nine stitches.
No other details were given about the incident.
Around 700 settlers live in 80 homes in the center of Hebron, surrounded by nearly 200,000 Palestinians.
The settlements -- illegal under international law -- are protected by the Israeli army in the tightly controlled city, where many streets are off limits to Palestinians.
