Techmart, official Nokia trade partner in the nation, has deployed Oracle E-Business Suite Special Edition to automate key business processes and gain enterprise visibility to make better business decisions. Techmart was earlier operating on disparate systems that included manual integration of financial worksheets. Oracle E-business Suite Special Edition provids a unified solution on a single and more powerful business platform.
Mindscape, Certified Partner in the Oracle PartnerNetwork, implemented Oracle Financials that included Oracle General Ledger, Oracle Accounts Payable, Oracle Accounts Receivable and Oracle Cash Management, along with Oracle Supply Chain Management modules that included Oracle Assets, Oracle Inventory Management, Oracle Purchasing and Oracle Order Management. The project was completed in just 8 weeks and implementation went live on February 2006 with successful transactions being recorded in all three Techmart offices, now interconnected via WAN/VPN.

The process of managing selling prices in the old system was a tedious process. The Oracle E-Business Suite Special Edition has also allowed us to manage our sales prices in an efficient manner for different customer categories spread in different regions,” said M P Sharma, President, and Techmart. “The implementation of Oracle Order Management has also brought more visibility about our customer demands by exactly knowing their ordering status and thus allowed us to plan our inventories in an optimal manner,” added Sharma.
With increased control in pricing and discounts, the Oracle Purchasing module allows users to become more effective as shipments are released automatically from orders. Similarly, automatic reorder functionality is enabled thereby decreasing stockholdings through better knowledge of on hand stock, incoming purchase orders and outgoing sales orders. A comprehensive functionality is available to measure results against budgets and consolidated cash forecast decreases working capital requirements of Techmart.
