Tawam Hospital, the UAE and Gulf region’s premier healthcare provider, has launched a new Cardiac Catheterization and Angiography Suite, to provide specialist treatment for heart-related and vascular ailments at the Al Ain based hospital. The launch of the new Suite was announced at a press conference addressed jointly by; Dr Ahmed Al Mazrouei, CEO of the Abu Dhabi General Authority for Health Services; Mr. Humaid Al Mansouri, Director of Eastern Medical Region, and Michael Heindel, CEO of Tawam Hospital on Thursday (November 9, 2006) at Tawam Hospital.
The digital cardiac, peripheral and neurovascular laboratory will facilitate identification and management of problems pertaining to the heart and arteries. The state-of-the-art digital equipment provided by Siemens will allow medical professionals to perform all types of cardio-vascular procedures. The technology will enable accurate therapeutic and interventional outcomes, thus enabling Tawam Hospital to provide top-quality healthcare services tailored to patients’ specific needs.

This Suite is one of several new facilities being introduced at Tawam Hospital. Covering a 1000 square metre area, the new Suite includes special audio-visual facilities, allowing medical students and physicians to watch live procedures transmitted from the laboratory to a nearby conference room. Additionally, the Suite contains a post-procedure care unit for both children and adults.
