Dubai Properties Group, a member of Dubai Holding, and a sponsor of DSF 2010, has organised an exciting line-up of events at The Walk at JBR during the 15th edition of Dubai Shopping Festival. The Heritage Village, a fun fair, and the Covent Garden Market ensure a combination of fun, culture, and the finest in outdoor shopping.

Shopping has never been more convenient for The Walk goers and residents as the Covent Garden Market opens. Kiosks for trendy clothes, dazzling jewelleries, unique accessories, authentic decors, beautiful artworks, beauty products and pretty toys are a few of what shoppers can find. The market also offers caricature making, face painting and book colouring.

Families can also head to the fun fair area where diverse types of rides and games are on offer. The ferris wheel, roller coasters, bump cars, and water rides, to name a few, wait to excite its visitors. There are inflatable rides and games that kids will totally prefer. The fun fair also features redemption games where guests can win goodies and toys.

Cultural enthusiasts, on one hand, must not forget to take a look inside the Heritage Village where guests will witness various exhibitions that narrate the local heritage. The sport of falcon hunting is one of the fascinating exhibitions as visitors are allowed to hold the falcons and take the opportunity to photograph the moment. Moreover, visitors can also head to a unique pearl exhibition that narrates the history of the pearl industry. Horse riding is a main attraction in the Heritage Village and visitors can go for a tour around the specified area in The Walk.

For a taste of authentic Emarati cuisine, visitors can head to the area where local women cook Arabic sweets in addition to weaving baskets, handy fans, carpet, hats and house decors. Henna painting and Arabic calligraphy are also part of the display.

An Arabic majlis at the Heritage Village in The Walk treats guests with Arabic hospitality, traditional food, and coffee. The Heritage Village is also lined up with bazaars where people can buy traditional handicrafts, clothes, and food.

A stage inside the Heritage Village hosts traditional performances such as the Ayalla, and folklore music such as Al Harbiyah and Al Liwa. The stage is used for children's shows, competitions and games as well. Other shows involve the Al Hadher mock wedding cermony and mock bedouin wedding ceremonies.

The Covent Garden Market is located near the dining shops at The Walk. It is open from 10am to 9pm daily. The Fun Fair area is located next to Sheraton Hotel, and is open from 4pm to 11pm every day. The Heritage Village is located next to the Hilton Hotel, and daily festivities start from 5pm running until 10pm.
