Tanmia, the UAE’s national human resources and development authority, has announced that it has recently signed an exclusive service agreement with Smart Call for the provision of a dedicated connection for text messaging between Tanmia and Etisalat subscribers. The new service will streamline communications between Tanmia, national job seekers, and employers, and enhance the development authority’s dissemination capabilities.

Under the terms of the agreement, Smart Call, a leading bandwidth provider of short message services (SMS) in the UAE, will set up a Mobile Gateway Platform for the delivery and reception of Premium SMS messages. Smart Call ensures that the service will be available 24 hours a day for 7 days/week with an uptime guarantee of 99.9 per cent.

“The use of text messaging technology will significantly enhance our coordination between national job searchers and employers. We now have a 24-hour hotline to disseminate the latest vacancies, employment trends and other pertinent information; this landmark agreement will expedite the inclusion of our well-prepared and highly-skilled nationals into our burgeoning job markets,” said Feddah Lootah, Acting General Manager, Tanmia.

Smart Call will also provide Tanmia with access to an online live reporting tool reflecting its monthly SMS traffic, and ensure that all contents and concepts related to Tanmia’s SMS campaign remain confidential and that the service complies with all applicable UAE laws.

“We have more than four years of solid experience in managing premium rate applications and information services with various prominent local and international clients. We shall leverage our technical and operational strengths to provide Tanmia with the highest-quality SMS notification, broadcasting, marketing and related services, and thus contribute to the development of the country’s national workforce,” concluded Marwan Ahmed Essa Al Thani, General Manager, Smart Call.
