The National Human Resources Development and Employment Authority (Tanmia) recently arranged and distributed career information stands through its Centre for Career Guidance and Planning (CCGP) to Mohammed Bin Rashed School for Boys and Amina Bint Wahab School for Girls, as part of its strategy to raise student awareness on career opportunities and labour market information. The career information stands displaying various publications produced by Tanmia, is intended to provide access points for students to obtain up-to-date career information at their place of study.

Saif Al Noaimi, Director of CCGP, said, “The ever-changing employment market of the UAE has increased the need for providing good guidance to students so that they can easily manage their career development. We at CCGP aim at providing them overall support in their endeavour and thus have come up with this innovative approach of equipping the schools with career information stands, in order to give the students the right career guidance.”

Tanmia, in association with CCGP will monitor the response of students towards the career information stands and make available the stands wherever necessary. Tanmia is working with the long term goal that every secondary school and college in the UAE will receive its own career information stand.

Mohammad Hassan, Director of Mohammed Bin Rashed School for Boys said, “The range of career options and patterns available to the students today is broader than ever. This makes choosing the right career a difficult task for them. The career information stand is a new and innovative approach from CCGP that will help the students take the right decisions and prepare them for a bright future.”
Mona Abdullah, Director of Amina Bint Wahab School for Girls said, “We are very happy that CCGP has decided to select our school to display their innovative approach. The Career Information Stands are designed to display Tanmia’s career guidance publications that will enable our students to develop an accurate and factual understanding of various career opportunities, employment types, employing organizations and training opportunities available for them.”
“We at CCGP are committed to help our young boys and girls get the right information about their careers and the labour market situation of the UAE, by stimulating their abilities and talents so that they can successfully participate in the job market. We appreciate the efforts of Mohammed Bin Rashed School for boys and Amina Bint Wahab School for girls for having partnered with us  in our ambitious vision of raising career awareness in the students of UAE,” added Al Noaimi.

CCGP has been establishing working relationships with key institutions in the UAE such as the Ministry of Education & Youth and the Ministry of Higher Education.
