ALBAWABA - An AFP journalist reported that the Taliban government executed two people who were charged with murder.
According to Afghanistan International, the two men were executed on Thursday in a football stadium in Ghazni City, eastern Afghanistan.
Atiqullah Darwish, from the Supreme Court, said: "These two people were convicted of the crime of murder in the trilateral court."
Taliban has been running Afghanistan since taking over power in 2021, twenty years after their ouster by U.S. troops.
The repossession of the power by the Taliban government came days after the United States announced full withdrawal of American and foreign troops from the country.
In detail, the two men were executed by multiple gunshots to the back after Darwish read aloud a death warrant signed by Taliban Supreme Leader Hibatullah Akhundzada.
