Syria's Vice-President Abdul Halim Khaddam reviewed with a delegation representing Iraqi Islamic Legislation - Fatwa - and Guidance Commission, led by Mahdi Ahmad Saleh al-Sumaidei the situation in Iraq and its repercussions on the region.
According to SANA, during the meeting, Khaddam stressed Syria’s keenness on helping the Iraqi people to surmount their plight and to restore Iraq’s role on the Arab and international arenas.
