On Monday, Syrian Vice President Abdulhalim Khaddam emphasized the right of the Palestinian people to fight the Israeli occupation as well as the right of the refugees to return to their homeland.
This emerged during a meeting between Khaddam and a visiting French parliamentary delegation.
The two sides reviewed the situation throughout the region and the volatile situation in the Palestinian territories as well as the ongoing Israeli aggression of the Palestinians, according to KUNA.
They also discussed the role Europe can play, especially France, in the peace process as well as European-Arab cooperation and Syrian-French cooperation.
