Syrian President Bashar al-Assad received in the capital of Damascus Monday visiting Omani Foreign Minister, Youssef Binalawi Binabdullah and an accompanying delegation.
President Assad was handed a message from the Omani Sultan, Qaboos Bin Sai'd, concerning new developments in the Arab Region, according to the Syrian Arab News Agency.
During the meeting, attended by Deputy Premier and Foreign Minister Farouk Sharaa and the Omani Ambassador, Hilal Binsalem Al-Syabi, talks focused on the Arab situation, especially in the occupied Palestinian territories, the threats against Iraq, as well as with means of strengthening the existing brotherly ties between both countries.
