A Lebanese fishing boat with three fishermen on board was seized by the Syrian navy, which had opened fire at it, off the coast of north Lebanon Wednesday, security sources told the Daily Star.

The sources said the fishermen, who were inside Lebanese territorial waters at the time of the incident, from north Lebanon's village of Bibnine included Khaled al-Rachidi and Bachir Machmachani, in addition to a Palestinian who was not identified. They were taken away by the Syrian sailors, and their boat confiscated.

No casualties were reported in the incident, the sources added.
