A Syrian helicopter fired rockets into the Lebanese border town of Arsal on Wednesday wounding several people, AFP reported.
“A Syrian helicopter launched three missiles on Arsal, one of which landed near the town square. Several people were hurt,” a Lebanese official told AFP on condition of anonymity.
The Sunni-majority town broadly backs the revolt against Syrian President Bashar al-Assad. A number of rocket attacks from inside Syria have already struck Lebanese territory this year, inlcuding rockets fired from helicopters and surface-to-surface missiles.
