ALBAWABA - The Syrian Ministry of Defense said on Sunday that the Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF) launched rockets on Sept. 20 towards villages in the countryside of Aleppo without knowing the reasons.

The Syrian Ministry of Defense revealed that its forces detected the launch of missiles from one of the SDF's rocket launchers towards the village of Umm Tineh in the eastern countryside of Aleppo.

The northern Syrian front has flared up again after direct clashes between the Syrian army and the Syrian Democratic Forces.

The SDF announced in a statement that a Syrian government drone targeted one of its positions in the Deir Hafer area in the Aleppo countryside, confirming that the attack did not result in any casualties.

In response, Syrian Democratic Forces announced "precise strikes" against the Syrian forces, adding that they caused casualties among the army and forced it to retreat.
