The Syrian daily Tishrin reported Saturday on the “extremism” of both Israeli Prime Minister Ariel Sharon and Foreign Minister Benjamin Netanyahu’s.

Both candidates to lead the Likkud Zionist Party, the Syrian daily stressed that such extremism serves as clear evidence of the Israeli orientation in general towards further aggressiveness and refusal of the just and comprehensive peace.

The paper, cited by SANA, indicated that the Intifada, or Uprising, has become stronger than before and that Israeli security has become a mere theory based on “wind”, detailing that since Sharon ascended to power, he has been able to mobilize the Israeli street toward further extremism and aggression.

Al-Thawra daily, on its part, warned against further explosions in the region in wake of Prime Minister Sharon and Netanyahu’s attempts to prove their ability to harmonize with the steps of the American war, even if they were obliged to “bargain on the Arab blood for some time at least”.
