At least 16 people were wounded in Damascus Tuesday from rebel mortar fire, according to Agence France-Presse.
Syria's state media SANA said that "Mortar rounds fired by 'terrorists' struck around Shallal Square in the Mazraa neighborhood, wounding 10 people and damaging cars." The Syrian government has referred to rebel forces as "terrorists" since the beginning of clashes in 2011.
The Popular Front for the Liberation of Palestine-General Command, who is aligned with the regime government reported that five of its members were wounded when mortar fire struck its office. Mortar fire also wounded six more near a Red Crescent hospital.
On Monday, mortar fire in the capital killed nine children and wounded twenty others when the rounds hit a school and a school vehicle in two predominantly Christian neighborhoods.
