Daesh has attacked a power plant serving the northern Syrian city of Hasakah, Reuters reports.
Suicide bombers detonated an explosive-laden truck near the power plant, which serves the city's southern districts.
According to Syrian media, a second attack was prevented by security forces.
The Syrian army has been battling to reclaim the strategic city from Daesh.
As of June 29th, the Syrian army claimed to have retaken a main residential area.
Syrian state television released a newsflash stating the army had "cleansed" militants from the southern district of Nashwa.
Daesh assaulted the strategic city two weeks ago, taking positions in the heart of the city's residential areas and driving out civilians.
