Syria provided additional details about its chemical weapons program to a team of experts from the Organization for the Prohibition of Chemical Weapons, according to Reuters.
OPCW Director-general Ahmet Uzumcu, informed UN representatives that Syria has sent information to the Netherlands-based institution that goes "beyond" the September 21st filed report. No further details about the information was given, but UN sources expect OPCW to hold a press conference by Tuesday.
Intelligence officers from Western nations are currently analysing Syria's chemical weapons data from the September report, with some leaked information suggesting that more than 1,000 tonnes of chemical agents and precursor chemicals for mustard gas, sarin and VX are currently located in Syria.
