A car bomb explosion on the Turkey/Syria border has left at least ten people dead with a further 30 wounded, according to the local mayor.
The blast happened after a Syrian-registered car arrived at the Cilvegozu border crossing in the Turkish province of Hatay.
The attack came just three weeks after Patriot missile defense equipment arrived in Turkey, following fears that the ongoing violence in Syria could spill over the border.
"We don't know whether this was a suicide bomb or whether a car that was smuggling petrol across the border blew up," a Turkish official said, speaking to Reuters news agency.
According to local media reports, the Syrian opposition are currently in control of the area over the other side of the Turkish border crossing.
