ALBAWABA - Armed groups have entered several areas in northern rural Homs, including the city of Al-Rastan, the towns of Talbiseh, and Al-Dar Al-Kabira, according to RT's correspondent. Notably, no clashes or confrontations have been reported in these locations so far.

In response, significant reinforcements from Syrian forces have been deployed to the city of Homs and along the strategic route between Homs and Hama. The movements come amid ongoing displacement of civilians from the affected areas, reflecting the escalating tension on the ground.

A military source stated: "Our armed forces, in coordination with Russian warplanes, are conducting artillery and rocket strikes against terrorist vehicles and gatherings in northern and southern rural Hama. These operations have resulted in dozens of casualties and the destruction of several vehicles and armored units."

Syrian Defense Minister General Ali Mahmoud Abbas highlighted the army's readiness, stating, "The Syrian army is in a strong operational position, with forces strategically redeployed to minimize civilian casualties." He further emphasized that Syrian forces are engaged in a "relentless battle" against terrorist groups supported by regional and international powers.

Since November 27, Syria has faced a surge in terrorist attacks by armed groups reportedly backed by foreign states. These groups, armed with advanced weaponry including drones, have successfully infiltrated major cities such as Aleppo and Hama, further destabilizing the region.

This intensification of conflict underscores the volatile situation in Syria as both military and humanitarian challenges continue to mount.
