Dubai Municipality has commenced renovating Aleppo Citadel, one of the historical landmarks in Syria which enjoys international repute.
It is part of Dubai Municipality's long-term plan to restore sites of the Arab world having rich cultural heritage.
This will be done in cooperation with Aleppo City Council, the Arab Economic and Social Development Fund and The German Agency for Technical Association, said a senior municipality official, according to Gulf News.
