Syrian government air strikes have killed at least 48 people in Homs province during two days of air strikes, Reuters reports. Women and children are among the dead.
According to Reuters, roughly a dozen fighters and multiple rebel commanders were also confirmed killed in the strikes.
Syrian rebels left their stronghold in Homs in May. Homs province had been the center of the revolution against President Assad.
The conflict in Syria has killed over 190,000 people and forced millions to flee.
