Suzuki Swift, the latest lifestyle automobile from Suzuki Japan aimed at youth demographic between 16 – 25 years has recently won the ‘Fun car of the year’ Special Achievement Award in Japan. The car which embodies a new philosophy in motoring was recognised for its success in delivering a unique driving experience and genuine world wide appeal due to its bold styling, dynamic design, and excellent handling capabilities.
Commenting on the award, Sheikh Omar Bamaarouf, General Manager, Suzuki Saudia, said “Swift is the embodiment of Suzuki’s new brand philosophy that focuses on bringing new and improved transportation solutions to customers, offering them enjoyable products that enhances their daily lives. The new Swift which was unveiled to the public at the Geneva Motor Show 2005, is noted for its sporty design and collates all the objectives of a compact car with its new developed 1.5 litre engine and specially tuned suspension system. The car is also sports dynamic design elements such as stylish and chic interiors, easy to read and fully automised information display and instrumentation units, elegant and comfortable passenger cabinets, world class audio system with audio control on steering and speaker positioning for surround sound and high fidelity reproduction of sound.
External features of the Swift include smooth and aerodynamic styling for drag reduction and reduced wind noise, fog lamps and aluminium wheels. Swift’s safety features are unmatched in the compact car genre with dual front airbags, strong chassis for efficient impact energy dispensation and Automatic Braking Systems (ABS).

Suzuki had set in motion a radical plan to design a car heavily borrowing from our leading position in the two and four wheel racing activities and matching it with our hereditary cutting edge technology features,” Bamaarouf said. “The new Swift since its concept stage involved high levels of collaboration between the motoring publics from around the world and Suzuki engineers, which ultimately led to the creation of a car that was innovative, sporty, elegant and that which had an international appeal.”
