Umniah organizes NAJAH Program students visit to its headquarters
Umniah, Jordan's latest mobile operator and a subsidiary of Batelco Bahrain organized a visit for NAJAH Program participants to its main headquarters as part of the company's support for the youth and its long-term partnership with Save the Children.
The visit aimed at supporting NAJAH Program participants, who have not had the chance to pursue higher education, to receive hands-on experiences and learn skills that would help them find jobs and become an integral part of Jordan's economic cycle.
The youth toured Umniah headquarters and visited the Customer Service Center. They were also briefed on the working mechanisms in some departments while meeting with Umniah's senior employees.
Communication Manager at Umniah, Rania Abu Khader Salfiti, said: "We are focusing on equipping NAJAH youth with practical knowledge and skills. During this visit, they were trained on communication and customer service skills. We hope this will better their chances of getting jobs and retaining them."
"This practical training shall give the youth more information on the work market and the importance of work ethics. This is part of our quest at Umniah to support the national economy and combating poverty," she added.
Mrs. Saba Mubaslat, NAJAH Program Manager, said: "We at Save the Children believe that "learning by doing" is the ideal way of learning. Our partnership with Umniah is an example of developing the youth skills through training and hands-on experiences."
The visiting youth were briefed by several department managers on the work mechanisms at Umniah, and they expressed joy and satisfaction with the visit which has opened their eyes to new experiences.
