Suicide attack targets Afghan lawmaker, kills three in Kabul

A suicide attack that targeted an Afghan lawmaker in Kabul killed three, including a child, and wounded the parliament member, an official told AP.

Afghan Interior Ministry spokesman Sediq Sediqqi told AP the bomb targeted Gul Pacha Mujedi, a parliament member from the eastern Paktia province, who was wounded along with seven others, said Gul Pacha Mujedi, a parliament member from the eastern Paktia province. Mujedi had left a meeting when the explosion struck, the spokesman said. 

No militant groups have yet claimed responsibility for the attack. 

This is the second suicide bomb in the country's capital this week, following a car bomber that killed six and injured 31 on Wednesday, according to security officials.
