Hassan al-Turabi denied Saturday on Abu Dhabi television that Sudanese President Omar al-Beshir had the right to freeze his position as secretary general of the ruling National Congress party.
"National Congress rules don't give him such prerogatives," he said.
Beshir ordered Sarturday a freeze on Turabi as head of NC. The president had accused his ex-ally of conspiracy against the regime -- (Agencies)
