ALBAWABA - The United Nations reported that the warring parties in the Sudan war have agreed to meet to discuss aid entering the war-affected areas.

The meeting is expected to be held in Switzerland, where the parties will be discussing the possibility of enabling access to desperately needed aid in their conflict-torn country, a report by the United Nations said.

UN aid chief Martin Griffiths told reporters he had been in contact with the heads of the two warring factions in Sudan about convening "empowered representatives of the two militaries" to discuss aid access, adding that "they both said yes, that they would be happy to come".
