Sudan will dispatch doctors, blood and medicine to the Palestinian territories or the nearest treatment center in neighboring Jordan to ease the suffering of the Palestinians, a medical official was quoted as saying Wednesday.
Dr. Babikir Abdel Salam, chairman of the medical committee for solidarity with the Palestinian intifada, told the independent Alwan daily that the committee has begun collecting money as well as donations of blood and medicines.
He added that centers would be established for receiving blood donors on Thursday and Friday.
Abdel Salam, who also serves as health minister in Khartoum state, conveyed that the committee is planning to send 30 physicians, 2,000 bottles of blood and 30 tons of medicines either to the Palestinian territories or to Jordan. (Albawaba.com)
