Sudanese President Omar Hasan al-Bashir said the world media has deliberately exaggerated the situation in the western Sudanese area of Darfur to cover up the serious developments in the Middle East, particularly in Iraq and Palestine.
In an interview published Wednesday by Lebanese al-Mustaqbal newspaper, Bashir expressed content over the support his country received from other Arab, Islamic and other countries.
He added that Darfur crisis would not influence the signing of a peace agreement with the rebels. (albawaba.com)
