ALBAWABA - Sudanese Ministry of Health announced the death of a child and the injury of five others in the latest artillery shelling by the Rapid Support Forces (RSF) on the north of the Sudanese city of Omdurman.
The Ministry of Health said the RSF continued its systematic targeting of unarmed civilians on Wednesday, intensifying its shelling of residential neighborhoods and bombed a school right before the start of the school day, noting that the heavy shelling with heavy artillery led to the death of a child and the injury of five other people, including a doctor working at Bar Al-Walid Hospital.
On Wednesday, the fighting was a bit calm, except for some fronts such as the Al-Fasher city front, in the west of the country, where the city’s resistance committees’ coordination reported that six people were killed in artillery shelling by the Rapid Support Forces on the Zamzam camp for the displaced, with a number of injuries.
The Chairman of the Sovereignty Council, Abdel Fattah Al-Burhan, met with the Director-General for Africa at the British Foreign and Commonwealth Office, Harriet Matthews, on Wednesday.
According to a statement from the council, Al-Burhan informed his guest of the Sudanese government’s determination to achieve a civilian democratic transition and achieve national consensus, in addition to its readiness to provide all necessary facilities to deliver humanitarian aid to those who deserve it.
