Students from Abu Dhabi University (ADU) marked the International Day of Disability with a visit to the Al Diaa Center for Rehabilitation, meeting and interacting with the children. Rebecaa Abi Hanna, ADU Counselor, and Sophy Rizkalla, ADU Student Activities & Events Coordinator, accompanied four students as part of the University’s ongoing efforts to raise awareness about the disabled.
“The visit to the Al Diaa Center for Rehabilitation was a great learning experience for everyone, and was a small but significant part of our efforts to foster understanding about the disabled at ADU and throughout the community,” Ms. Abi Hanna said.
Al Diaa Center Manager, Mrs. Diaa Abideen greeted the students, who were given a chance to interact with the children while gaining insight into the different forms of disability being treated during therapy sessions and activities conducted by the specialists at the Center.
