SriLankan Airlines, a leading carrier in to the Indian Sub Continent and Far East, has introduced internet airline bookings to Oman. The initiative is aimed at simplifying booking procedures and will offer additional convenience to its customers.
The service greatly widens SriLankan Airlines’ presence in Oman, catering to the increasing demand for business and leisure travel out of the bustling Middle East nation.
SriLankan Airlines’ Manager Oman, Milinda Balasuriya is confident that the new facility available through its website at www.srilankan.aero will prove effective for travellers because of the time and cost savings benefits over traditional booking options.
The online booking service connects customers with SriLankan Airlines’ reservations system, allowing passengers to search preferred dates, times, available flights, check seat availability, reserve a seat, print out an e-ticket and even indicate meal preferences.
“Customers using SriLankan Airlines no longer have to worry about spending extra time organizing their airline tickets, when all of these functions can be done while seated in the comfort of their home or office,” he said.
“Online customers will also benefit from last minute special fares on the WEB, giving customers an added incentive to book online,” Mr. Balasuriya said.
Misplaced, damaged or forgotten tickets will no longer be an issue for them and this new system will greatly enhance the service we provide.”
SriLankan Airlines operates a full Airbus fleet to 50 destinations in 28 countries worldwide. Flights from the Middle East to Colombo connect with onward services to the Maldives, ten key destinations in India, seven destinations in the Far East including Malaysia, Singapore, China and Thailand.
