The new electric push back tractor, recently launched on the American market, has been a great success. This tractor, which was made in response to high customer demand, is powered by a 26 kW AC motor and offers all the benefits of electrical energy, because it generates no pollution is low maintenance. This model is suitable for ground operations on 737 to 757 type aircraft. This four-wheel vehicle offers excellent visibility and reaches a maximum speed of 11.3 kph unladen. It can carry up to 10,880 kg.

The new electric toilet draining unit for regional airports has also been a success recently. The experience Charlatte has acquired since the 1980s in electric motorization technology has enabled it to expand its range in this market niche.

But the best-seller in Charlatte’s range is without doubt the T 135 tractor, with 10,000 models currently in operation worldwide. This versatile tractor is designed to carry all sorts of goods, such as baggage, freight, post or pallets. This model can travel at up to 25 kph unladen, and tow loads of up to 25 tonnes. A high-efficiency and low-maintenance AC motor (23 KW) directly fixed to the rear axle delivers the necessary driving energy. A hydraulic accumulator is used for assisted steering and energy-saving, as the motor in fact only runs 1/10th of the time, which makes for better performance in terms of battery life.

Well established abroad, Charlatte has a plant in France manufacturing for the European market, the Middle East, Asia and Africa. Its plant in Virginia in the United States supplies the North American and Latin American markets. A team of engineers in England covers the country’s technical support requirements for the United Kingdom.
