South Korean Prime Minister Han-Dong Lee starts Sunday a 12-day Gulf tour aimed at bolstering bilateral ties between his country and the Gulf states, reported the official Kuwait news agency KUNA.
Saudi Arabia will be Lee’s first leg of a tour that will also take him to Qatar, UAE and Oman, said KUNA.
Lee’s visit to Saudi Arabia comes one month after a joint Saudi-Korean committee was convened in Riyadh.
The two countries agreed to form four specialized committees to follow up on signed agreements aimed at enhancing trade ties between the two countries, said KUNA - Albawaba.com
